Project Vidya - A fully realized starship (WIP)

Sitting in the captain's chair / This is the point of command for the entire ship. It isn't every day one gets to see the view of a starship from the captain's chair.

Standing between ops and helm (Port and starboard respectively) / From here officers can control ship power distribution, sensor coordination, ship navigation, course changes, impulse and warp control, and other related ship functions.

Standing starboard side of the Bridge / From here you can get a general overview of the entire bridge: aft stations, tactical, command pit, and forward helm and op stations.

Standing at tactical / This station is the ships main security hub. From here a single officer can oversee operation of weapons, shields, internal sensors, comms, and threat analysis.

Standing in the port aft foyer / This foyer allows one to access the bridge's secondary turbolift (currently under construction) and the hallway leading to the main observation lounge located aft of the bridge.

Standing in the hallway connecting the bridge to the observation lounge / From here one may view the aft of the starship as well as admire a triptych designed by Kelrathian artist D'naul Vorsh and donated for use on the Vidya on stardate 45963.4.

Standing just inside the observation lounge / This is the main conference room for the command crew. This is where mission briefings, diplomatic dialogues between cultures, and negotiations take place.

Standing between the conference table and the forward view screen / From here one is presented with a beautiful sweeping view of the cosmos and the warp nacelles. Don't forget to look up!

Welcome aboard the USS Vidya. Please, mind your step during this tour as many of the unfinished locations on this deck have been sealed off for your safety. With that in mind, welcome to the bridge!

This tour will take you through the bridge and into the back conference room (also known as the observation lounge). You'll notice most of the ships systems are offline. Interface systems will be one of the last things installed, right now only the most minimal amount systems are online - enough to maintain life support and basic ship maneuverability.

The aesthetic style of this ship is based off of the early 20th century Art Deco & Streamline Moderne movements combined with late 24th century Sovereign-era themes. Inspired heavily by the Enterprise D, this ship serves as a transition between the Constitution and Sovereign class designs.

As for its progress, the ships exterior hull is about 75% completed, while the command deck is the only floor currently under construction. The construction order will eventually include all major locations within the starship such as engineering, crew quarters, holodecks, corridors, shuttle bays, and more. As these locations become available, they will be added to the tour.

Construction on the Vidya is slated for completion on stardate 45995, and its maiden voyage, slated for early the following year, will see it setting course for the far side of the gamma quadrant.
